Description

Alexander was the son of King Philip II of Macedon, born in 336 B.C. He was considered one of the greatest military commanders of the ancient world. This achievement inspired envy & imitation from Roman generals such as Pompey & Caesar. Educated by Aristotle, he first led his troops at the age of 18. After his fathers death he beat the super-powerful Persians. He came close to conquering the civilized world but he died at a young age of 33 in June of 323 B.C. They are not sure what killed him either the bout of heavy drinking due to his many wounds or that he was poisoned.
